What’s the big deal! Well, Jerry Seinfeld is. The American actor, stand-up comedian, writer, producer, and director rose to fame with his sarcastic style of observational comedy in the ’90s and has been making people laugh ever since. Born on April 29, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York City, he later graduated from Queens College with a degree in communications and theater.
Jerry rocketed to fame playing a fictionalized version of himself in the sitcom, ‘Seinfeld’, which he created and wrote with Larry David. The show aired for nine seasons from July 1989 until May 1998, winning 10 Emmys over the years.
In 2005, Comedy Central named Jerry the ’12th Greatest Stand-up Comedian of All Time’. The comic produced, co-wrote, and starred in the 2007 film ‘Bee Movie’. In 2010, he premiered a reality series called ‘The Marriage Ref’, on NBC. He followed that with the series ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’. Seinfeld married Jessica Sklar on Christmas Day in 1999. Together, they have one daughter, Sascha (born in 2000), and sons, Julian Kal (born in 2003) and Shepherd Kellen (born in August 2005).
